Ijalba Tempranillo Livor
Ijalba Tempranillo Livor is a red wine with Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja made with Tempranillo grapes cultivated organically in the winery’s own vineyards. No chemical fertilisers, herbicides or phytosanitary products are used. Bodegas Viña Ijalba was founded in 1991 by por Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba, with the aim to contribute to the restoration of the environment and the Riojan landscape. Since 1975 Dionisio has been transforming poor terrain, formerly used as quarries, to vineyards with a limestone base and a layer of about 50 cm topsoil.
How it is made
Grapes are destemmed and left to ferment in stainless steel vats for 8 days, at a controlled temperature of 25º C, with a substantial maceration to highlight the fruit.
Deep-red color with violet highlights. Aromas of red fruits, typical of Tempranillo grapes. Fresh and full of flavour with intense notes of red berries. Best served at a temperature of 14ºC with light meat, appetizers, fish and light cheeses. 13% ABV.
