Red wine with Denominación de Origen CalificadaRioja made from Tempranillo grapes. Bodega El Arca de Noé is a cooperative with 260 partners founded in 1953 by a group of expert viticulturists in San Asensio, La Rioja Alta.
How it is made
Grapes are carefully selected and handpicked. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. Skins are macerated until the wine has the right structure for aging. The wine is aged for 12 months in American oak Bourdeaux casks, followed by three months of aging in bottle.
Bright and clean cherry colour. On the nose it is multi-layered, with fruity aromas and notes of oak. On the palate it is smooth and fresh, with sweet hints of toasted sugar and a balsamic touch. Perfect with Mediterranean cuisine, red meat, fish in tomato sauce, grilled vegetables, sausage-meat pâté and semi-cured cheese. Best served at a temperature between 16º - 18º C.
