Red wine with Denominación de OrigenRioja, made from Tempranillo grapes, grown in La Rioja Alta. Ageing takes place in American oak casks for 17 months. Bodegas Coto de Rioja was founded in 1970 in Oyón, Álava. The El Coto vineyards are spread throughout all of the subareas of the Denomination of Origin Rioja.
How it is made
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with maceration of up to 18 days. Aging is carried out for a period of 18 months in 225 liter American oak barrels. Finally, the wine is refined in the bottle for a minimum of 18 months.
Deep cherry coloured with garnet hues. Intense aromas of ripe fruit and cocoa. On the palate it is silky with ripe tannins and well balanced acidity. Perfect with game, red meat and beef. Best served at a temperature of 16º - 18º C.
