Samichlaus Classic Doppelbock
Doppelbock beer Samichlaus Classic is brewed only once a year on December 6 and aged for 10 months before bottling. The brewery Schloss Eggenberg was founded in 1803, by Johann Georg Forstinger in Salzburg, Austria. This is the once strongest lager beer in the world and also known as "Santa Claus Beer" (Samichlaus means Santa Claus in the Swiss-German dialect of Zurich).
How it is made
It takes year of slow secondary fermentation while stored in the foothills of the Alps for this beer to develop all of its qualities. Only the best selected yeasts are used. It is left to mature for a period of 10 months.
Tasting notes
Brown colour with amber hues, with a thin head of foam. Sweet flavour of malt, caramel and fruits. Warm finish. Best served with robust dishes and desserts, particulary with chocolates. 14% ABV.

Sin duda, una experiencia cervecera única. Bueno, para empezar decir a quien vaya a probar esta cerveza por primera vez que el sabor en sí no es a cerveza. Por intentar describirlo al parecer de mi paladar, el sabor és como a mistela, pero a mistela "pansa" (de uvas pasas) con un final alicorado pero suave a la vez, y el regusto en si es tirando a dulce, para nada amargo. Que se notan los 14° de graduación? Pués sí, se notan, pero no en el sabor de manera exagerada ni mucho menos como otras cervezas de alta graduación que te cambian la cara con el primer trago. Donde más se nota esa graduación es cuando te has acabado el tercio y te sientes como si te hubieras bebido 3 tercios de Mahou seguidos. Conclusión: la volveré a comprar sin dudarlo y animaría a la gente que le gusten las cervezas diferentes a que la prueben.
