Sol de Málaga

Sweet liqueur wine with Denominación de Origen Málaga, made from Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel de Alejandría grapes. Bodegas Málaga Virgen is a family winery, owned by the fourth generation López brothers, founded in 1885 by Salvador López López.

How it is made

Grapes are grown in the areas of Axarquía and Fuente de Piedra, Málaga, and harvested just at the right moment of optimum ripeness. Then they are gently pressed and left to ferment under controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged in American oak boots for 6 months.

Tasting notes

Cherry coloured with golden hues. On the nose it is very aromatic and well balanced, with notes of raisins, jam and nuts. On the palate it is sweet with hints of toasted caramel. Perfect with dessert. Best served at a temperature between 6º - 8º C. 15% ABV.
